Top 10 Tracks - September 2008

September 2008
myspace.com/mikebugout

1. Control - Dataworx [DATAWORX DIGITAL]
-- Huge techno banger right here. Very simple elements here with a banging kick build to leave you with a record to destroy the end of your sets.

2. Klack (inpetto remix) - Who's Who [SIZE]
-- Inpetto really goes deep with this remix of Angello and Ingrosso's techy original. The upbeat drums are still included, now added are some great melodic builds.

3. Straight Away - Mark Mendes [STARTER]
-- Another techy work from Mr. Mendes, who I am really becoming a fan of. A few simple chords, bleeps and bloops with a strong set of drums behind it make this one huge for me.

4. Azteca (stadium mix) - KOS [TOOLROOM]
-- Contender for track of the month for me right here, on Mark Knight's label. Azteca samples the guitar from Snow Patrol's "Chasing Cars" and throws behind a nice deep bassline. Such a feel good jam.

5. Underlying Feeling (adam k & soha) - Sylvia Tosun [SEA TO SUN]
-- Adam K and Soha straight out of Canada deliver the goods once again with this proggy and airey vocal. Getting huge play on XM and by all the big jocks including Armin, Tiesto among others.

6. Redlight (oliver twizt remix) - Ian Carey [SPINNIN]
-- This one is my pick of the many remixes done of this track. I've always been a fan of Ian Carey's and this mix is definitely on the harder, more techy side.

7. Amazing (thomas gold) - Mario Ochoa [AVENUE]
-- Thomas Gold must not sleep, ever. It seems like he has remixes out for dayssss and this one is one of my favs this month. It almost takes a page from some of the big house than ran NYC years ago, deep bassline with stabs, huge vocal.

8. Another Chance (fred baker) - Avalon 69 [CAPTIVATING SOUNDS]
-- It's so good to see Fred Baker back putting out joints. After a ton of success in 06, 07 we didn't hear much from him. This remix is not the usual uplifting sound we're accustomed to from Baker, but picks up from the build. Quality trancer.

9. Cold Winds - Jonas Steur ft Julie Thompson [BLACK HOLE]
-- Great intro track from Jonas and great vocals from Julie.

10. The Unit (paul miller remix) - Airborne Angel [CD-R]
-- Huge uplifter here. Paul Miller is on fire right now and almost every track he puts out is quality. The Unit is pure peak hour, hands in the air, and every other trance generalization you can think of! Huge keys with a drum roll into a huge build.

That's it for September. I will be going back to list July and August, which I did not get to post. Don't forget you can catch me LIVE each and every Wednesday @ deko lounge in Sayreville, NJ and also a special guest appearance in north NJ @ 46 Lounge in totowa, NJ on Thursday September 25th.
